From Louie Giglio’s devotion “ Not Forsaken”:”The sinless Son of God bore our sin and died our death so that we could become sons and daughters of the Most High. The perfect Son of God was abandoned and rejected, so that you and I would never have to be. We will never be forsaken, because Jesus was forsaken in our place.” What an amazing fact. Here’s more: “As his sons and daughter, we live in these realities! We’ll never outgrow God’s care. We’ll never exhaust God’s love. We’ll never outrun God’s reach. We’ll never slip through God’s fingers. Every day we’ll wake up to God’s new mercies. God will meet all our needs. In Christ, you are chosen, loved, prized, wanted, and believed in by God-your Perfect Father.” What an amazing reality.
I feel like my words are inadequate, so I choose to use God's words instead. In my Bible reading in Romans 8, Paul reminds us that not only will we be delivered from the bondage of corruption, but creation, too will be delivered (vs. 21). That we hope and eagerly wait with perseverance for our delivery. The following verse reminds us that "we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." Verse 29 says, "For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, this He also called; whom He called, these He also justified, and whom He justified, these He also glorified." To me this whole idea is incredibly amazing, that He loves us SO much, and wants to give us so much.
Herein, lies our HOPE, our purpose, the destiny of those who believe on the only begotten of Son of the Father. Won't you join us on that journey?
